This summer we decided to attend a 3 day hack event at the Imperial College called Additive Sounds, 3D printing and Future of Sounds. The aim of the event was to challenge participants to design and fabricate an innovative new musical product, system or installation. Ultimaker Ltd. provided a large cluster of FDM 3D printers along with a variety of music electronic kits and circuit parts to use.

Inspired by the films we were watching, we decided to 3D print a sexual object. An object that would be both, an object of desire and horror. We used ninja-flex to print 3 dildos from an open source software available online and inserted flex censors in them. We used the explanation provided in the film Nymphomaniac about Bach’s construction of polyphony to create this Imperial Dildo.
